September 30 Office Closure – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The College of Chiropractors of BC is observing National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 30, 2022 “to commemorate the history and ongoing trauma caused by residential schools and to honour those who were lost and the survivors, families and communities who continue to grieve.” In honour of this day, the College office will be closed as we are encouraging our staff to commemorate this day through personal awareness, self-reflection and education or events in their communities.

The September 30 date is also observed as Orange Shirt Day, promoting understanding and recognition of the colonial legacy of residential schools and commitment to the ongoing process of reconciliation.

We are grateful for our partnerships with First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), BC Health Regulators (BCHR) and other partners and organizations, that are supporting our efforts by sharing resources, providing educational opportunities and offering counsel.
