As mandated by the Provincial Government, all practicing chiropractors must submit to a Criminal Record Check before they are successfully registered as a Full Registrant with the CCBC, whether they are a new registrant or are reinstating. If the chiropractor practised in another jurisdiction prior to registering in BC, they must also submit to a criminal record check in that jurisdiction.

In addition, the CCBC requires all registrants to complete a Criminal Record Check at least once every five (5) years as per the Ministry of Public Safety and the Solicitor General. These checks are to ensure the safety of patients and the public with vulnerable populations.
