COVID-19 Updates and Mask Information

On March 10, 2022, the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), Dr. Bonnie Henry announced that BC would end its indoor mask requirement in broad ranges of indoor environments.  However, some settings will still require that you wear a mask, including health care settings.

The CCBC has received a number of questions from registrants and the public asking whether this means that they and their patients can discontinue wearing masks in the clinic environment, including during treatment.

The College is seeking clarification of Dr. Henry’s announcement, including specifically whether chiropractic practices will be included in the ongoing requirement to wear masks in health care settings.

In the interim, the College recommends that registrants continue to adhere to the current masking requirement until the College receives confirmation that the masking requirement no longer applies. Once such confirmation is received, the College will issue further communication and, if necessary.
