We are thrilled to announce the launch of BackCareBC, a new multi-language campaign in partnership with the BC Chiropractic Association, which seeks to educate patients on what chiropractic entails and build awareness around the importance of health care regulation to BC residents for whom English may not be a native tongue.
More than one-quarter of British Columbians speak a language other than English in their homes. Both the BCCA and the CCBC acknowledge the need to provide health information in languages other than English. The campaign features print ads in Punjabi, Chinese, and Filipino newspapers as well as television ads on Fairchild TV. The campaign is also supported through a website (www.BackCareBC.ca) and social media efforts (@BackCareBC on Twitter, BackCareBC on Instagram and facebook.com/bcchiro).
By servicing this segment of the population, we have the opportunity to position chiropractic doctors as neuromusculoskeletal experts and more importantly, ensure that patients have access to important health information in a format that they can clearly understand.
