April 15, 2021 – Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting

The College of Chiropractors of British Columbia (the ‘College’) has received multiple requests under s. 33(5)(b) of the College Bylaws, from 15% or more of College registrants, to convene an extraordinary general meeting (EGM).  Accordingly, the Board has approved the convening of a ‘virtual’ EGM from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, being within 60 days following the College’s receipt of the meeting requests, as required under the Bylaws.

The registrants requesting this extraordinary meeting have described the general nature of the business to be considered at the meeting as “includ{ing} but … not limited to discussion of board motions and resolutions to be presented as required by bylaw.”

To date, the College has not received any resolutions proposed by registrants.  However, resolutions supported by ten or more registrants may be submitted in writing to the College at least 30 days prior to the EGM (i.e. received by the College by not later than 5:00 pm, Wednesday, May 5, 2021) and heard at the meeting in accordance with s. 35 of the College Bylaws.

This meeting is open to the public.  Registrants and members of the public who wish to attend may register on the CCBC website.
