Stakeholder Communications

Introduction

The modernization of health profession regulation in BC brings to the fore the value of enhanced collaboration and communication between individual colleges, as well as with registrants and the public, or ‘stakeholders.’

CCBC’s Board has developed a Stakeholder Engagement Plan outlining a clear vision of what the College stands for and detailing communications and engagement initiatives planned over the next three years.

It supports the Ministry’s vision for modernized health regulation, aligns with the Health Professions Act, and expresses the College’s core values.

It is designed to Engage, Communicate, Inform, Protect

Engagement

Engaging those with the greatest stake in the outcome is essential to building a cohesive vision for the future.

The College has made a commitment to consult widely, find consensus, share information, and engage with its stakeholders.

Communication Principles

These principles will guide the College’s ‘voice’ in engaging with all stakeholders:

  • Alignment with the College’s mandate and regulatory requirements
  • Meaningful information shared in a timely manner
  • ‘Right touch’ – just the right amount of information needed.
