2023 Strategic Plan

The College is committed to evolving our vision to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion as it reflects the ongoing efforts being made in our strategic goals that make up our DEI objectives.  To enable the College’s protection of the public interest, the CCBC fosters a people centered workplace that reflects the population we serve. This is one of the ways the CCBC is actualizing its evolved vision.

Vision
The College of Chiropractors of British Columbia is a recognized leader in equitable and inclusive patient-centered, evidence-informed, health profession regulation.
Mission
The College protects the public by regulating British Columbia's doctors of chiropractic to ensure safe, qualified and ethical delivery of care.
Mandate
We require that our registrants at all times protect the safety of patients, prevent harm and promote the health and well-being of the public.
Values
Transparency
We communicate clearly the reasons for our actions and decisions.
Accountability
We are responsible for what we do and give satisfactory reasons for our decisions.
Integrity
We operate in a manner that is honest, thoughtful and ethical.
Expertise
We are effective, skilled and organized.
Respect
We value and consider the perspectives of those we work with, and those outside the College at all times.
Objectives
Goal 1
Protect the public by ensuring that registrants deliver professional, evidence-informed, and ethical services supporting a diverse, equitable and inclusive community.
Goal 2
Acknowledge the impacts of systemic racism in the healthcare system and work to create an environment that supports Indigenous cultural safety and humility and diversity, equity and inclusion in the healthcare system.
Goal 3
Lead opportunities to modernize health profession regulation which enable improved protection of the public.
Goal 4
Sustainably enhance our organization's structure and knowledge to develop Board and staff who model diversity, equity and inlcusion.
Goal 5
Build public and stakeholder trust in the regulator.
